Having a disability does not make one ‘inspirational’. However, hard work, perseverance and determination do.

I try to show everybody that disability is not a handicap. You can still do anything you want in life.

Being born with limb difference doesn’t define me. It’s simply a small part of me, and it won’t hold me back unless I let it.

I think what I'm doing today is just inspiring other people, and if I'm inspiring other people, then that means I am doing a good thing.

I knew I had a difference, but to me it wasn’t an obstacle.

My prosthesis has always been part of me and makes every hurdle conquerable. For me, sprinting is like art, because the work is in the detail.

Everyone should know that there are people out there, such my family, my prosthetist, who has been great at helping me get back on my feet, and the people at Össur who are willing to help out and welcome you with open arms.

This was my dream when I was a kid. This is where I want to be.

My influence is to inspire others and to make them believe that if I can do it, they can do it too.

At that moment, I didn’t care what that meant for my modeling career or the rest of my life; I just wanted the pain to go away.
