Össur launched POWER KNEE™

Össur hat heute die Markteinführung seines neuen POWER KNEE™ bekannt gegeben, der weltweit ersten aktiv angetriebenen Mikroprozessor-Knieprothese für Menschen mit Oberschenkelamputation oder Beindifferenz.

Das POWER KNEE ist eine bahnbrechende bionische Technologie - eine motorbetriebene "intelligente" Prothese, die mithilfe fortschrittlicher Algorithmen menschliche Bewegungsmuster erkennt, lernt und sich in Echtzeit an die Geschwindigkeit und Trittfrequenz ihres Trägers anpasst. POWER KNEE erzeugt Bewegung, indem es aktive motorische Unterstützung bietet und dabei unterscheidet, ob der Träger auf unterschiedlichen Oberflächen, Steigungen oder Gefällen geht oder ob er sitzt oder steht. Beim Treppensteigen ist der Träger in der Lage, ein natürlicheres "Schritt-über-Schritt"-Muster auszuführen, während er beim Hinabsteigen von Treppen oder Rampen einen kontrollierteren Widerstand erfährt.
