I am a very patient person. However, that doesn't mean that I accept everything without question. Rather, I face most challenges with composure. At the same time, I am curious and ambitious. If plan A doesn't work, I try plan B. You always reach your goal in the end - sometimes by taking a diversion. That's why my motto is: a diversion is also an opportunity to reach your destination more wisely.  

I was born in Uzbekistan, which was part of the Soviet Union at the time. My parents lived there because of work, but we soon moved to Russia, where I grew up until I was seven years old. We then moved to Germany. Today I am 37 years old and live in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The region is characterised by its beautiful nature. Particularly impressive is the Palatinate Forest, the largest contiguous forest area in Germany, where I can relax surrounded by nature. The region also has a lot to offer in terms of history. Hambach Castle, known as the cradle of German democracy, is located here. 

In keeping with the wine region in which I live, I work in wine research. As a chemical engineer, I specialise in developing methods for chemical aroma analysis. Hardly anyone knows what that means, so I'll explain it briefly: essentially, I analyse wine samples at the chemical level and provide empirical data, which is then evaluated. Despite my profession, however, I am also just a career changer in the field of wine. Basically, chemistry is the creative force that surrounds us and can therefore be analysed universally in all possible areas.
