Graham Hamilton's Story

Where does one start, I am 68 years of age and have been a left trans-femoral amputee for 12 years.

I was John Santos’ (OPSA Clinician) first client using the RHEO KNEE 3 and with a relatively quick programming set-up, the knee was ready for use. I now walk without having to look at the ground all the time, my walks in the morning are now up to 4km at a decent pace and no stopping for rests. I can now walk down stairs and ramps without going sideways. I have always used a wheelchair for longer distances and major shopping centres but the wheel chair now sits forlornly with flat tires in the shed.

I look forward to a much brighter future now that my physical parameters have been broadened.
