Everyone should know that there are people out there, such my family, my prosthetist, who has been great at helping me get back on my feet, and the people at Össur who are willing to help out and welcome you with open arms.
Sprinter. Swiss Blade Runner. Sports management student. Paralympian.
Once I put the blade on, I fell in love. I always tell people, when I run, I feel like I have 2 feet again.

Just like any other kid
Imagine being an 18-year-old and stripped of everything, even your own body.
My influence is to inspire others and to make them believe that if I can do it, they can do it too.
I try to show everybody that disability is not a handicap. You can still do anything you want in life.
My mission is to show that an impairment does not have to be a limitation. You can do so much more than you think.
I knew I had a difference, but to me it wasn’t an obstacle.
Being born with limb difference doesn’t define me. It’s simply a small part of me, and it won’t hold me back unless I let it.
Mountaineer. Sprinter. Cyclist. Paralympic athlete.
My prosthesis has always been part of me and makes every hurdle conquerable. For me, sprinting is like art, because the work is in the detail.
No matter the handicap, if you want to surpass yourself, you always succeed.

Markus empathizes with his patients.
"Life has given me the opportunity to try boxing after being a professional football player and I grabbed it, without doubts or hesitations.”
This was my dream when I was a kid. This is where I want to be.
Giving up was not an option.
