Pro-Flex® Pivot

Pro-Flex Pivot foot by Össur is a step in the right direction, providing a 95% increase in peak ankle power and an 82% increase in range of ankle motion when compared to a conventional energy storing and return foot.

Move with confidence.

The Pro-Flex Pivot is an innovative multi-blade prosthetic foot, featuring a pivot mechanism.  It lets you move easily and naturally, with an excellent range of ankle motion and powered push-off without a motor.   It’s smooth, comfortable and adapts seamlessly to your daily needs.

As with all Pro-Flex devices, it features our proprietary 3-blade design with full effective toe lever and a more anatomical split toe.   In addition, Pro-Flex Pivot includes a lightweight foot cover featuring a grippy sole for barefoot stability on wet, slick surfaces. It is easy to clean, adapts to a range of footwear and has a natural arch and footprint.

Characteristics

Anatomical foot

The full effective foot length, in combination with the big toe and sandal toe matches the length and shape of the sound foot. The lightweight anatomical foot cover features a steadygrip sole for barefoot stability on wet or slick surfaces, and a sandal-clamping toe for a range of footwear including flip flops.

Ankle power

In mid stance the stiffness is low to reduce moment and pressure on the residual limb, in late stance the stiffness is high generating ankle power similar to a biological ankle.

Full length toe lever

The full-length keel/toe lever matches the length of the sound foot, giving a smoother, symmetrical gait.

Pivot Technology

The pivot technology mimics the human ankle joint through connection of the blades around the psychological center of rotation.

Sandal toe

Narrow, anatomically correct foot cover for use with a sandal toe shoe.

Split toe

A split toe feature allows the foot to adjust to the surface below, allowing amputees to walk naturally on uneven ground.

Weatherproof

A weatherproof device allows use in a wet and/or humid environment but does not allow submersion. Fresh water splashing against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect. Dry thoroughly after contact with fresh water. Fresh water: Includes tap water. Excludes salt and chlorinated water. For a weatherproof system, only weatherproof components must be selected.
