The seventh Nordic Congress for certified Prosthetists and Orthotists took place in Copenhagen, October 5-7. The event attracted around 230 delegates from Denmark, Norway, Sweden and beyond. Scott Hornbeak, coordinator for the California State University Dominguez Hills prosthetics program, has voluntarily given up his time and expertise to help a resident of Santa Rosalia, the neighborhood where he had spent several holidays as a child and experienced at first-hand the generosity of the community. Alonzo Higuera Lucero now has the prosthesis he so desperately needed, after losing his left arm in an automobile accident.
