Everyone deserves a little comfort. Happily, Össur has taken the all-important comfort factor one step further in its silicone liner range. As the name suggests, Iceross Comfort Seal-In liners now incorporate the unique Seal-In system for a simple, secure and (you guessed it) very comfortable suspension of the socket.

This is an extremely good liner for residual limbs with fragile and exposed tissues, and/or bony prominences which can lead to pressure peaks within the socket.

The ring around the lower part of the liner creates an airtight seal as the user steps into the socket, so there is no need for an extra sleeve to hold the socket in place. That means greater freedom of movement, as well as a more comfortable fit.

This Seal-In system also makes it easy to release the limb for extra comfort when sitting down. A simple touch of the button releases the air and therefore the seal. When standing up again, all the user has to do is step firmly into the socket and the liner literally seals itself in again.

Who it is for:

  • People looking for a comfortable, more affordable liner.
  • Those who want secure suspension, without the need for sleeves and belts.
  • People with longer residual limbs, which may be bony sensitive, or have a more conical shape.

The technical stuff

The stabilizing matrix, a patented fabric weave integrated within Iceross liners, prevents the liner from being stretched up and down when in use (a movement called pistoning). This also helps to stabilize soft tissues and ensures a more responsive performance all round.
