First to cross the line!

Congratulations to Stuart Hughes from the UK, who has become the first amputee to cross the finish line in the half-marathon on August 19 - part of the annual Reykjavik Marathon event - completing the 21.1km course in a time of 1:57:09. While in Iceland, he took the opportunity to drop by Ossur´s head office and get a taste of the future in prosthetic limbs.

Scholarship opportunity for amputees - apply by September 1

Spread the word! Amputees and current or former cancer patients who are US citizens and are planning to go to college this fall, still have almost two weeks to apply for assistance from The Cancer for College Scholarship Fund. Applications must be submitted by September 1st.
