NOTE: This product is disposable and recommended for single patient use. Discard after use. Do not reuse on multiple patients. Follow a qualified healthcare provider's instructions regarding usage and infection control.

Application

  • Proper application of the Bloc-Head is important for immobilization and patient comfort. The one-piece design consists of a single piece with a yellow adhesive strap which is packaged as a unit.
  • Always maintain the patient's head in neutral alignment. These directions are guidelines only; follow a qualified healthcare provider's instructions.

Bloc-Head CID

  1. Remove plastic tape from Bloc-Head base (underside) and position on proper, clean surface (backboard).
  2. Place under patient's head and align opening with patient's ears.
  3. Press down on Bloc-Head base to secure. If required, fasten base to surface with additional tape.
  4. Fold both Bloc-Head side supports inward and attach Velcro loop to hook fastener on Bloc-Head base.

Yellow Strap

  1. Peel off outside papers - do not remove center paper.
  2. Press center paper against patient's forehead.
  3. Secure head to backboard.

Removal:

Before removing the Bloc-Head, mark the position of the Yellow adhesive strap and side support locations to ensure re-application maintains the proper fit.

With the Collar secured on the patient, unfasten the Yellow adhesive strap. Release the side supports and remove the patient from the Bloc-Head.
